If you’ve ever found yourself longing for the fizzy refreshment of a Coke but wanted a “healthier” option, TikTok might have the answer. A woman recently shared a recipe she learned from her Pilates instructor that’s taking social media by storm: a homemade “healthy Coca-Cola” that she swears tastes just like the real thing.
According to her, the Pilates instructor is so convinced by this concoction that she makes it almost every day.
The woman, channeling her best persuasive skills, recreated the drink on TikTok. She explained the recipe step-by-step, starting with a generous splash of balsamic vinegar over ice, setting off a chorus of skeptics and curious experimenters alike.
Next, she added her favorite sparkling beverage, La Croix Guava
Though she assured her audience that any flavor would do. As she poured, she enthusiastically declared, “It already looks like a Coke!” A quick stir, and voilà, the “healthy Coke” was born. And according to her, it’s not only good for you but also “so good” to drink, encouraging her followers to try it out for themselves.
Her video quickly went viral.
It amassed over 630,000 views and 16.5 thousand comments. But not everyone was convinced. One skeptical viewer commented, “Bestie, I don’t believe u.”
Another questioned, “Have you ever had a Coke?”
Meanwhile, TikTokers debated whether this drink could truly be a game-changer or just another viral joke.
Others chimed in with their own humorous takes.
Lindsay noted, “Step 1: delusion.”
SassyBassy wasn’t ready to dive in just yet, saying, “I need more comments confirming, before I do it.” Some users even made it a mission to disprove the claims with their taste tests.
For some, the experiment was a disappointment.
“This totally didn’t work for me. Don’t waste your time or your La Croix,” one user lamented.
Dizzy added, “Can confirm this does not taste anything like Coke. It’s not bad, but not a cola.” A few dared to argue that it tasted more like an unusual salad dressing than a beloved soft drink.
More confessions rolled in.
One brave soul admitted, “I just tried this and I can confirm it tastes nothing like Coke,” while Erin bluntly stated, “I’ve tried it. It tastes like vinegar.” Others offered even more practical advice, suggesting simpler alternatives.
Then came the pragmatic voices:
“Y’all know Diet Coke is a thing, right?” one user said.
Belle humorously warned, “Imagine taking a sip of your friend’s drink, and it’s balsamic vinegar La Croix.”
Ashley humorously noted, “Homegirl just got at least 50 people to drink balsamic vinegar with ice lol.”
Some users even questioned the “healthiness” of this alternative.
“What’s the point of that? It’s not healthier than a Coke if you add a flavored soda to it…” others added, noting the calories and sugar content that came with some sparkling water flavors.
So, would you try it?
Whether you’re curious to try it yourself or prefer to stick with the classics, one thing is for sure: TikTok never fails to keep us entertained with its unconventional trends. So, will you be brave enough to give “healthy Coke” a shot?
Or is this one recipe best left in the realm of internet lore?
