Hot on the heels of her appearance during the opening ceremonies of the 2024 Paris Olympics, our Queen Céline Dion is reportedly plotting a major comeback to her famed Las Vegas residency by the end of this year.
So, what’s going on with Céline, and when can we expect to see her back onstage? Let’s find out.
Céline hasn’t performed on stage since 2020.
The singer, 56, went on an extended break in 2022 after being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome that same year. The debilitating syndrome is the result of a rare neurological disorder that causes progressive muscle stiffness and tremors in those afflicted with it.
She produced a documentary about her battles with the syndrome.
Titled I Am: Céline Dion, the Prime Video documentary offers a raw, unfiltered look at how brutally the disorder has affected her. Paramedics were called multiple times throughout the film’s run as Céline was overcome with debilitating stiffness or intense tremors.

However, Céline made a triumphant return in 2024.

She ended her Vegas run in 2019.
The iconic singer has had two concert residencies in Las Vegas, both held at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace and boasting an estimated 70 performances yearly. Céline’s most recent residency ended in 2019 with a touching tribute to her late husband, René Angélil.
But now, rumors are swirling that she may make a return to Vegas.
According to The Sun, insiders claim Céline is planning an all-new, 70-minute show featuring her greatest hits. This time, the venue is rumored to be the Resorts World Theater rather than Caesars Palace.
A test run might be necessary.

Her Olympics performance bodes well.
Though her performance at the opening ceremonies was unrelated to her potential future residency, her ability to belt out such a vocally stunning and emotional song while harnessed to the Eiffel Tower could bode well for any Vegas show hopefuls.
Insiders claim she’s been training for months.
The Sun notes that insiders have seen her rehearsing with a vocal therapist and musicians for the last eight months. While that could have been for her Paris performance, it could have been for a future residency.
Here’s hoping it works out!
