You’ve heard of bad hair days, right? Well, this guy’s having a full-blown bad head week. Kanah Flex’s head puffed up to an unreal size after getting a hair transplant, and people online haven’t let him hear the end of it.
He had the procedure done on January 16th at a London clinic — one he claims has treated some celebrities, too.
A hair transplant that caught everyone’s attention
Kanah, a dancer and artist who got his big break when FKA Twigs and Aaron Sillis spotted him busking back in 2014, decided to share his hair transplant journey on TikTok.
But instead of admiration, the comments were flooded with brutal comparisons to cartoon characters.
People online can’t stop comparing him to cartoons
Commenters couldn’t resist pointing out his uncanny resemblance to Will Ferrell’s Megamind. Others said he looked like Roger from American Dad or even Squidward from SpongeBob!
Instead of getting upset, Kanah rolled with it, laughing at the jokes alongside everyone else. Even he was stunned by how swollen his head got.
Kanah shares his own take on his transformation
“I know I’m looking crazy, but trust the process,” he reassured his followers. “Right now, I’m looking like an alien.”
He got it done in London, not Turkey
Clearing up any assumptions, he said, “For anyone that’s gonna ask, no – I did not go to Turkey to get my hair done. I got my hair done in Wembley, to be exact. Kenton, Harrow.”
He explains the step-by-step process of his surgery
Kanah walked through how the day went down. He showed up at the clinic around 8:30 AM, had a consultation, signed some paperwork, and then spoke with the doctor who would be doing the procedure.
The main focus was on his crown, not his hairline
“We design what I need, we talk about everything I need,” he said, explaining that the main focus of the transplant was his crown — the highest part of his head.
The hair follicles were taken from the back of his scalp, an area called the ‘donor area,’ and then implanted at the top.
He chose not to lower his hairline to avoid more grafts

“My hairline was actually alright to be honest, it was literally just mainly my crown and my donor area,” Kanah explained.
“If I brought my hairline forward it would have meant that they’d have to take more grafts – a graft is two hairs. I got 4,000 grafts done, so that means 8,000 hairs have been implanted into my head.”
He experienced immediate swelling and discomfort

Before surgery started, they gave him a buzz cut — something he was actually excited about since he’d never seen himself bald. Then, he was given anesthesia in multiple spots across his head.
“I could just feel my head swelling, like a balloon. After a while I stopped feeling it.” What he didn’t know was that the swelling was only just getting started.
Experts explain why swelling happens
Dr. Emrah Cinik, a hair transplant expert in Turkey, explained that while the swelling might look extreme, it’s usually nothing serious and is actually part of the healing process.
His website states: “Any surgical procedure, including a hair transplant, causes tissue damage that triggers an inflammatory response. This response leads to fluid and immune cell accumulation in the affected area, which can spread to the face, causing oedema.”
Kanah shares his recovery process and what’s next

In his most recent update on January 19th, Kanah showed that the swelling had started moving down toward his eye. “I look like I just did ten rounds with Mike Tyson,” he joked.
Hopefully, all this will be worth it once his new hair grows in!
