When it comes to Christmas, re-watching the iconic Home Alone is a favorite activity for many.
Some even like to toy with the idea of what could happen next in Home Alone. Enter: A parody trailer put together to imagine what would happen if the Wet Bandits were released from prison now that Kevin McCallister is an adult.
The first movie came out in 1990
It’s been a little over three decades since the eight-year-old character tormented burglars at his home.
The little boy punished the burglars
The Home Alone movies feature the little boy Kevin McCallister, played by Macaulay Culkin, tormenting two burglars. The boy is left home alone at Christmas by accident and ends up saving the house.
He learns the importance of family
After the little boy is accidentally abandoned by his family while they go on a major Christmas holiday, he has to fend for himself while protecting the house from the robbers.
He also eventually learns the importance of family.
We love the movies because of the pranks
While family and feeling the magic of Christmas are important, the movies are especially loved for the pranks Kevin plays on the pair of robbers Harry and Marv, played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern.
The sequels have a similar story
Two years after the first Home Alone, we got another one set in New York with Kevin’s pranks increasing in intensity.
The movies were still focusing on the lightheartedness of festivities, pranks, and Christmas magic.
A parody trailer has been put together
Someone has put together a parody trailer for a potential third Home Alone movie that would be called Kevin’s Revenge.
The trailer imagines what would happen if the Wet Bandits got out of prison to seek revenge against the little boy.?
The characters would be a lot older today
With over three decades having passed from the release of the first Home Alone movie, Kevin would now be a grown adult, and the two burglars, Harry and Marv, would be older as well.
The two would come out of prison with a plan to hunt down Kevin and avenge themselves.
The trailer is only a parody
This conceptual trailer is not for a real movie. Of course, the movie series already has four parts: Home Alone 3 and even Home Alone 4.
So, the trailer was just a nostalgic parody of the story.
It was to imagine what would happen
The trailer that came out on YouTube was made by a fan seeking to revive the warm nostalgia of the ’90s.?
The real Home Alone 3 does not actually star Macaulay Culkin, but Alex D. Linz, who plays a kid named Alex Pruitt, who survives a group of criminals on a trip after Christmas rather than during it.
We see Kevin again in the fourth
The fourth movie shows Kevin McCallister again with his parents getting divorced, this time played by Mike Weinberg.?
So there are already four Home Alone movies to enjoy, but hey, it’s fun to imagine what another Home Alone starring Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, and Daniel Stern today would look like.
